Over the past 14 years, more than 2,000 high school students and their teachers, representing about 40 New Jersey high schools, have participated in the Waksman Student Scholars Program (WSSP) a project that engages high school students in genuine research in molecular biology.STARTING SALARY FOR A NEW ADMINISTRATIVE, PROFESSIONAL, OR SUPERVISORY APPOINTMENTS For Internal Appointments: The compensation level for a successful internal candidate for a university job posting will be determined according to University Policy 60.4.10 on Salary Adjustments-A/P/S Employees. For External Appointments: The normal starting salary for a successful external candidate for a new or vacant position may be established by the hiring authority at a salary rate up to 10% beyond the grade midpoint. Hires beyond this hiring range, but not to exceed the grade maximum, require approval and authorization by the appropriate vice president/provost and University Human Resources.
